The question & approach

Children with handwriting difficulties were allocated to practice-only, personalized developmental interventions, or a combination of the two. Samples collected every two weeks were assessed on 12 symptoms or aspects of handwriting.

22%

Legibility growth in the combined group.

What improved & what was observed

Legibility growth was 22% in the combined group, 11% for practice alone, and 3% for personalized developmental interventions alone. The manuscript also reports writing-speed improvements in around half of the participants.

What the findings support

The largest reported legibility improvement occurred when Writo-guided developmental activities were combined with writing practice. The study also reports less relapse and greater symptom recovery in that group, supporting a combined approach to handwriting development.

The conclusion, in context

The study supports an exploratory product direction, not a treatment claim for dysgraphia. Its small groups and short follow-up limit conclusions about durability and wider populations.

Study scope & next questions

The small sample and exploratory design limit generalization. Improvement is specific to the reported legibility measure. This exploratory manuscript has no established peer-reviewed publication status and does not establish treatment efficacy for dysgraphia.

The platform behind this proof of concept

400Mn data points. 50,000+ longitudinal users. A decade of learning.

These company-reported figures describe the foundation of ARRC. This proof of concept examines a specific handwriting intervention; the platform-wide dataset is distinct from this evaluation.
