Personalized interventions for drawing skills
Growth in the combined-intervention group.
The question & approach
Children were assigned to practice-only, developmental-activity-only, or combined intervention groups. Drawgogo analyzed drawing indicators and informed personalized activities. The study used two reference drawing tasks.
Growth in the combined-intervention group.
What improved & what was observed
Reported growth was 32.3% for combined practice and developmental activities, 26.3% for developmental activities alone, and 23.8% for practice alone. The observed difference between the combined and practice-only groups was 8.5 percentage points.
What this proof of concept measured
| Measure | Reported result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Combined activities + practice | 32.3% growth | Experimental Group B |
| Developmental activities only | 26.3% growth | Experimental Group A |
| Practice only | 23.8% growth | Control group |
| Combined vs practice-only growth | 8.5 percentage points higher | Difference between reported group changes |
What the findings support
The combined group showed the largest improvement on the drawing measures used in this study. Its results support a product hypothesis central to Drawgogo: analyzing the underlying abilities and pairing targeted activities with practice may be more useful than repetition alone.
The conclusion, in context
The short, small proof of concept provides initial comparative evidence. It does not establish long-term retention, general academic gains, or a guaranteed 32.3% improvement for an individual learner.
