Personalized activities for anger management
Reduction in parent-reported anger episodes.
The question & approach
The study included children with recurrent parent-reported anger episodes. Trained Child Care Experts delivered personalized ARRC-recommended activities twice a week, for approximately 40–45 minutes per session.
Reduction in parent-reported anger episodes.
What improved & what was observed
The brief reports a 60% decrease in anger episodes lasting more than ten minutes. PROMIS anger scores and parent-reported episodes improved with reported p < 0.001. The Parentof assessment correlated with PROMIS at r = −0.742, reflecting opposite score directions.
What this proof of concept measured
| Measure | Reported result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Parent-reported anger episodes | 60% decrease | Episodes lasting more than ten minutes |
| PROMIS anger scores | 21.1% improvement reported | Summary brief growth metric |
| PROMIS / episode comparisons | p < 0.001 | Reported within-subject improvements |
| Parentof / PROMIS association | r = −0.742; p < 0.001 | Opposite scoring directions explain the negative correlation |
What the findings support
Thirty children received ARRC-recommended activities delivered by trained Child Care Experts over three months. The brief reports improvement in both a standardized parent-report measure and real-world parent observations, providing complementary evidence of change during the program.
The conclusion, in context
This is a pre–post summary brief without a control group. It supports an early intervention hypothesis; it does not establish clinical efficacy, independent replication, or outcomes for every current SafeMango feature.
Study scope & next questions
This summary covers a pre–post study without a control group. Outcomes rely on parent reports, and children with diagnosed neurodevelopmental or psychiatric conditions were excluded. It does not establish clinical treatment efficacy.
